General terms

Payments

An initial payment of 30% is required to confirm your booking and the balance is due three months before your arrival.
If you are booking within three months before your arrival, then full payment is required at the time of booking. 

We take direct bank transfers (EUR or GBP or SGD).  We are also set up to take credit cards via PayPal (cost charge applied).

Check-in and out

Check-in is from 4 pm and check-out is before 10am.

Security deposit

We ask for a refundable security deposit of £2000 one week before your stay.  We generally return this within a day of checkout.

Cancellation

Firstly, please make sure you have travel insurance on booking. 

If you need to cancel we will try our very best to re-let the property and if successful we will refund your payment less any expense or loss incurred by us. 

This is a major benefit of booking directly as we genuinely do try as it's in both our best interests.  Our booking agents don't allow us to do this, as they insist on keeping money in the case of a cancellation.

Included in the rental rate

• Bed & table linen, bathroom & pool towels

• End-of-stay clean

• High-speed WiFi -courtesy of Starlink and a Mesh network we have fitted, which has made a huge difference to the house. It has full coverage and bandwidth for those who sadly may need to do a video call or watch Internet TV!  Mobile reception is also good with us (not always the case accross the region).

• 'Concierge' service - as in we are pretty proactive with anything we can do to help, along with our friends of the Chateau (David the cook, winetasting, hamper etc.)

• Utilities: water; gas; electricity

• Gas for the barbecue - at the start of the season we provide canisters and will top up when we come ourselves.  We ask if you exhaust please refill if you you can as it makes it impossible on timing with change over - as much for other guests and we are happy to reimburse.

• Plenty of firewood from our own forest fallen trees for winter stays or for the barbecue

• Cleaning products & detergents - we leave ample supplies as appreciate it makes a stay easier if all at hand
